Writing Experiences: Screenplays, books & more

Melanie is looking for collaborative partners for the following original screenplay experiences:

·SABOR!

Celebrating New York City and international relations with Peru in magical fashion–enchantingu.

·LA SYLPHIDE

Encore retitled La Sylphide, placed in top 10% of the Nicholl Competition and was a quarterfinalist in the Writers Network Screenplay and Fiction Competition.

The script has been rewritten for the dance film community as a contemporary retelling of the great romantic ballet of the same name. Melanie’s intention for the feature film is to use both the Paris Opera Ballet (Taglioni) version and the Royal Danish (Bournonville) Ballet version plus contemporary choreography, and involve professional dancers and actors.

·KISSED BY A FAIRY

Quarter-finalist in The Writers Network 2006 Fiction & Screenplay Competition

GENRE: Contemporary Fantasy (inspired by the search for the Grail and by a true story)

LOGLINE: After a woo woo weekend warrior training, a professional sword fighter misinterprets the faerie goddesses revamping his image and finds himself in a new experience of faerieland.

KISSED BY A FAIRY has been rewritten as a stage play with film that can be produced for stage or film.

  1. La Sylphide? Who are you kidding? That little sylph died and went to heaven, leaving James bereft.

She didn’t? What? Oh. I get it. She’s in the Crystal Cave with me right now.

And what? There’s something about the Stone of the Grail and the Chalice?

I see. Let me read more of this today. It might be something with which to have the Enchanted Kingdom ally.
